Job Description:
School First Aider & Administrative Support (Part-Time – KT Area)
1.5 days per week (Full day Monday + Half day Tuesday)
Occasional additional hours required
Circa £15 per hour
We are seeking an organised and proactive School First Aider with strong administrative skills to support the smooth running of our school’s medical and health-related operations. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is confident managing documentation, coordinating tasks, and providing calm, effective first aid within a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Medical & First Aid Duties
*Act as the primary first aider during scheduled hours, providing appropriate care and accurately recording all incidents, treatment, and follow-up actions.
*Oversee and maintain the school’s medical room, ensuring it is stocked, orderly, and compliant with school policies.
Administrative & Record-Keeping
*Maintain and update medical information on the school’s MIS, ensuring records are accurate, secure, and up to date.
*Prepare and manage risk assessments for pupils or staff with ongoing or specific medical needs.
*Liaise professionally with parents in line with the school’s First Aid Policy, ensuring timely communication regarding incidents or concerns.
*Coordinate medical appointments, vaccinations, and parental consents, ensuring all documentation is properly logged.
*Support staff planning school trips by preparing medical information packs and ensuring first aid supplies are complete and accurate.
*Schedule staff medical/first aid training and maintain records of attendance and certification status.
*Attend parent meetings relating to medical issues and prepare termly health and safety reports.

*First Aid or willingness to train
*Previous experience in a first-aid, wellbeing, or patient-facing role.
*Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Confident communicator with the ability to work sensitively and professionally with parents, pupils, and staff.
*Able to remain calm under pressure and manage confidential information appropriately.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing digitais records.
*Experience working in a school or educational setting.
*Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety within education.
