Contract Details:
*Location: Poole, Dorset
*Position: Education Support Worker
*Start Date: ASAP
*Contract Type: Temp to Perm
*Hours: 32.5 hours per week
*Pay: From £14.96 per hour
*Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
*Support students throughout the school day in a range of subjects and activities, including Reading, Maths, ICT, PE, Swimming, Dance, Drama, Food Tech, and Music
*Promote and reinforce students’ self-esteem, independence, and social development
*Communicate effectively with students using their preferred methods of communication
*Provide direct care to students in line with agreed standards
*Assist with setting up and tidying classrooms before and after lessons
*Build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues
*Support students in their physical, emotional, and educational development
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements:
*Experience working with children or young people (preferably with additional needs)
*A positive, caring, and adaptable attitude
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Willingness to undertake training and development
*Right to work in the UK
*Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
*Ability to provide two professional references
