Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable professional (Part-Time)

Reed, Accountancy and Finance, are excited to offer a fantastic exclusive opportunity for a newly created Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable professional to join a well-established finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and working within a team of three overseeing the UK ledger, you will play a key role in managing and improving the company’s receivables.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable and be confident communicating with customers and internal departments. You’ll be comfortable managing debt professionally while maintaining positive working relationships, and you will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
In addition to debt management, the role includes resolving invoice-related issues and processing credit notes linked to rebates or product displays.
Key Responsibilities
*Monitoring and managing aged debt to ensure prompt payment
*Building and maintaining effective customer relationships to support credit control activity
*Contacting customers by phone to chase overdue invoices in a professional manner
*Investigating and resolving payment or invoice discrepancies
*Posting incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
*Working closely with sales and finance teams to assess creditworthiness and resolve account issues
*Supporting ongoing improvements to credit control processes and reporting
What We’re Looking For
*Proven background in credit control or accounts receivable (ideally 3+ years)
*Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
*Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
*Confident engaging with customers and internal colleagues
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
