Salary: £25,000 - £36,000 depending on experience

We are supporting our client with the appointment of a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a busy, friendly team and take ownership of the company’s weekly payroll function.


The Role – Finance Assistant
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely payroll for approximately 100 employees, alongside a range of core finance duties. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processes.


Key responsibilities as Finance Assistant include:
*Managing manual weekly payroll for around 100 employees
*Processing Sage Payroll – experience is essential
*Completing bank reconciliations
*Supporting cash flow management and allocating payments
*Raising and processing sales and purchase invoices
*Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end tasks
*Handling payroll queries and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements


The Candidate


As Finance Assistant you will have:
*Demonstrable experience running manual payroll
*Sage Payroll experience (essential)
*Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and take responsibility for key tasks
*Availability to start immediately
