Job Description:
FC/HOF, Advertising Technology, 3 / 4 day week role
Unique role, working directly with the MD of a digital platform within the travel and mobility sector. The platform connects customers with transport providers through an intelligent pricing and booking system designed. 15 years in the making and highly profitable, it is time to mature the finance & operations side of the business by hiring a FC.
With significant automation, and an outsourced bookkeeping service, the short-term project is to take all finance matters away from the business owner, build out the financial control infrastructure and get audit ready. After that working in partnership with MD you will shape your role to suit the situation and long-term strategic direction.
Early responsibilities:
*Oversee day-to-day financial processes while progressively improving systems, controls, and reporting capabilities as the business grows.
*Assist with the development of an integrated client invoicing system Accounts Payable & Payments
*Prepare and submit Swiss VAT returns
*Financial Management & Reporting; financial oversight, reporting, variance analysis and financial commentary
*Monitor working capital, cash flow & liquidity
*Improve and standardise finance processes and internal controls Compliance & Governance
*Treasury & Strategic Finance Primary focus: treasury management, financial optimisation, and strategic financial oversight
*Oversee global VAT and sales tax compliance. Support external tax advisors and legal counsel on transfer pricing documentation
*Implement a KPI dashboard covering operational and financial metrics
*Automate remaining finance processes and reporting workflows Support development of integrated finance and invoicing system
We are looking for an available, flexible, agile worker. You will be a qualified accountant, with many years of experience working in SMEs, with lots of evidence of ownership & decision making, process improvement & partnering working with senior management. This is a unique business & culture, it will suit a person who will work from home mostly, a self-starter, with high standards.
