Premier Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well established food production company in Woolwich to recruit an Assistant Production Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a food manufacturing background who already has leadership experience.


You will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations within a busy manufacturing environment, supervising a team of 10+ staff while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and compliance requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities
*Supervising and supporting a production team of 10+ staff
*Allocating daily work across the production area
*Monitoring work in progress and planning daily production activities
*Managing staff performance, attendance, and motivation
*Ordering production consumables, plant, and equipment
*Booking transport for UK deliveries
*Working closely with the Production Manager to ensure goods are produced on time for dispatch
*Liaising with Logistics, Quality Control, and Stock departments


Requirements
*Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry is essential
*Proven leadership or supervisory experience within production
*Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and HSE standards
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Experience collaborating across multiple departments
*FLT licence or in-house licence
*Good attention to detail with a logical and practical approach
