Job Description:
Sales Executive
*£28,000 basic
*Location: Jarrow
*Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our client’s established team in Jarrow. This role is ideal for a self-motivated and resilient individual who will take responsibility for a geographical territory in the UK. The successful candidate will possess strong influencing and persuasive skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to cross-sell multiple product lines based on an understanding of the end-user application. The ability to close and deliver sales is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Potentialise, prioritise, and proactively maximise all sales opportunities with an agreed minimum value, dealing with a large customer portfolio through B2B activity and key account management.
*Win new business and maximise existing revenue streams through high-performance telesales and excellent key account management, to build long-term profitable relationships.
*Use effective questioning and listening techniques to understand the customer’s application requirements, ensuring cross-selling and up-selling from the product range.
*Proactively develop relationships with key accounts through regular customer contact.
*Prepare and follow up on sales quotations to customers, prospects, and leads; liaising with Key Account Managers for conversion.
*Undertake proactive telephone sales initiatives to grow sales; i.e., via telemarketing, cold calling, lapsed accounts with follow-up of new prospects and leads.
*Operate effectively within current policies and procedures relating to pricing, order entry, lead times, and telephone call monitoring programme.
*Develop effective working relationships with team members, internal departments, and other companies.
*Maintain accurate customer records and participate in regular housekeeping as required.
*Participate in team briefings and ensure regular communication with the team leader and other team members to address issues and develop a wider range of skills.
*Attend training sessions and participate in development programmes to enhance knowledge, sales techniques, and skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in B2B / Telesales.
*Experience in a similar commercial environment.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Commercial awareness.
*Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
*Ability to deliver to agreed commitments and objectives.
*Highly organised and working to targets.
*Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
*Open to change.
*Minimum "A" Level Standard.
*Experience of OEM markets and manufacturing knowledge (desirable).
*CRM experience (D365) (desirable).
