The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Technician to join our team. You will work closely with our structural engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and models for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities of this Structural Technician role:
*Produce structural drawings and details using AutoCAD (and/or Revit where applicable)
*Assist engineers in developing structural design solutions
*Prepare general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and structural layouts
*Coordinate drawings with architects and other consultants
*Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements
*Maintain drawing registers and document control where required
Requirements of this Structural Technician role:
*Experience working as a Structural Technician within an engineering consultancy
*Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is advantageous)
*Good understanding of structural detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
*Ability to interpret engineering sketches and calculations
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable
*HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
*Experience on UK building projects and familiarity with UK standards
