Finance / Resources Project OfficerRole: Finance / Resources Project Officer
Location: East Midlands (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Day Rate: £250–£300 per day (IR35 status yet to be determined)
Duration: 3–6 months initially
Purpose of the RoleTo support programme activity relating to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), focusing on finance and corporate resource workstreams. The role will assist with coordinating information, gathering data and supporting financial and corporate service transition planning as part of the wider programme.
Key Responsibilities*Support finance and corporate resource workstreams linked to LGR activity.
*Assist with data gathering and information requests relating to budgets, financial systems and corporate resources.
*Work with finance teams to collate financial information required for programme planning.
*Support programme governance by maintaining documentation, trackers and reporting updates.
*Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial information is captured accurately and on time.
*Assist with preparing documentation and reports required for programme oversight.
*Support wider programme coordination where required.
Experience Required*Experience working within local government, ideally within finance, corporate services or programme environments.
*Experience supporting projects, programmes or transformation activity.
*Strong organisational and coordination skills.
*Experience working with financial data or corporate resource information is desirable.
*Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal teams.
