Job Description:
Job Title: Primary Teacher (KS1 Sensory Room)
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay Rate: £140.23 – £260.25 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-Time
Contract: From after October Half Term – until Christmas (potentially Easter)
Smart Education is currently recruiting a compassionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join a Special School on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. This full-time role will begin after October half term and is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive special school environment.
About the RoleYou will be teaching in the KS1 Sensory Room, working with a small class of no more than 10 pupils. The students are in Years 3 and 4 but are working at a Year 1 ability level. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and marking lessons that meet the needs of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory and communication needs, including non-verbal learners.
You will create a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages communication, interaction, and independence while ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs will not be considered for this role

*A patient, adaptable, and nurturing teaching approach
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
