Attendance Officer
Location: Birmingham B9
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Hours
Pay: £150 - £170 per day (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A secondary school in the B9 area of Birmingham is seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately on a short-term basis.
The school requires someone confident managing attendance processes, monitoring absence and working closely with pastoral teams to improve pupil attendance.
This is a four-week assignment supporting the school’s attendance team during a busy period.
The Role
*Monitor and track pupil attendance daily
*Follow up on absences and lateness
*Work with pastoral staff to support attendance improvement
*Update and maintain accurate attendance records
*Liaise with parents/carers regarding pupil attendance
*Support safeguarding and attendance procedures
What We’re Looking For
*Experience working in a school attendance or pastoral role
*Familiarity with school MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor or similar)
*Strong organisation and communication skills
*Confident dealing with parents and staff
*Ability to start immediately
