Job Description:
Remedy are currently working with a warm and inclusive mainstream primary school in Southwark and they are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with ODD and Autism/ASD. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, tailored support and make a meaningful impact on a child’s educational and emotional development.
Role Details
*Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
*Setting: Mainstream Primary School
*Location: Southwark
*Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 16:00pm
Key Responsibilities
*Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil throughout the school day
*Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement with learning
*Implement agreed behaviour support strategies and individual plans consistently
*Support the pupil in and out of the classroom, including transitions
The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting pupils with ODD and Autism/ASD, ideally within a mainstream or SEN setting, and will demonstrate a calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support.
This role is particularly well suited to individuals considering careers in SEN teaching, psychology, mental health, or educational therapy, or those seeking long-term experience in a mainstream primary school environment.
