The Role As SENCO, you will play a central role in shaping and leading the school’s SEND provision, ensuring pupils receive the tailored support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and coordinating the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice

* Overseeing EHCPs, support plans and targeted interventions

* Working closely with teachers, therapists, parents and external agencies

* Monitoring pupil progress and ensuring effective support strategies are in place

* Supporting and guiding staff with best practice for inclusive teaching

* Helping maintain a positive, structured and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)

* Experience working within SEN or specialist settings

* Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

* Confident leadership, communication and organisational skills

* A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting pupils and families
