Job Description:
About the role
This role helps make our charging products safe, reliable, and ready for customers. You’ll work with teams across bp pulse and with our suppliers to improve product quality, strengthen our supply chain, and ensure our hardware meets the standards needed in every market we operate in. Your work supports our goal of delivering a dependable charging experience and reducing defects across the full product lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll guide how we manage quality from early design through to installation and operations. This includes setting clear quality expectations for suppliers, reviewing technical evidence, supporting new product launches, and helping teams solve issues when they arise. You’ll also lead our certification activities, making sure our hardware meets safety and regulatory requirements and that our documentation is accurate and complete. Much of your work will involve collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, Product & Technology, Operations, and customer-facing teams.
What you bring
You have experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role within a technical or regulated environment. You understand how to work with suppliers, run investigations, and use standards such as ISO 9001 to guide decisions. You’re comfortable working across hardware and software topics, and you can explain technical information clearly to different audiences. You’re organised, curious, and able to manage your own workload in a fast-moving environment. A degree in engineering is helpful, but equivalent experience is welcome.
Helpful experience (not required)
Experience with electrical safety, EMC, CE/UL certification, or multi-market product compliance is useful. Time spent in EV charging, automotive, or other high-reliability industries is also valuable. Additional languages, such as German, are a plus.
Why this role matters
Your work will directly improve product reliability, reduce defects, and support a better customer experience. You’ll help shape how we work with suppliers, how we launch new products, and how we meet safety and regulatory expectations as we grow. This is a role where your decisions have a clear and visible impact.
Why join us?
At bp, we support our people to grow in a diverse and exciting environment. We believe that our team is strengthened by diversity.
There are many aspects of our employees’ lives
