Office Manager (Part-Time – Temp to Perm)
Location: Maidstone
Pay: £13.00 – £15.38 per hour
Hours: 3 days per week. 9-5pm (1 hour lunch break)
Contract: Temporary with strong potential to become permanent
Start Date: Immediate

Reed Business Support are recruiting for a growing business in Maidstone seeking a confident and proactive Office Manager to support two Directors and take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office. This standalone position requires someone who enjoys variety, is eager to learn, and can grow with the organisation.
This is not an entry-level admin role; it’s a hands-on, evolving Office Manager opportunity where you will be involved in operational coordination, compliance, payroll support, documentation, and general office control. The ideal candidate will bring confidence, initiative, and the ability to become the central point of the business.
The Role
As the Office Manager, you will take responsibility for a wide range of tasks, including:
Office & Administrative Management
*Acting as the main point of contact for calls, emails and day-to-day enquiries
*Maintaining accurate filing systems, updating documentation and organising receipts and invoices
*Creating document templates and ensuring consistent document standards
*Overseeing general office operations to keep everything running smoothly
PA & Director Support
*Providing diary assistance and ad-hoc PA style support
*Booking hotels, arranging travel and handling logistical needs
*Supporting the Directors with a range of operational tasks
Compliance, Payroll & Health & Safety Support
*Assisting with payroll-related administration
*Preparing documentation and supporting the process for health and safety audits
*Working alongside an external H&S consultant to understand business requirements
*Tracking compliance and insurance renewals, ensuring nothing expires unnoticed
Vehicle & Business Coordination
*Booking MOTs, services and insurance for company vehicles
*Managing fuel cards and maintaining accurate records
*Chasing suppliers or partners for key compliance documentation

*Reliable, committed and happy working on-site 3 days a week
*Able to manage multiple responsibilities and take ownership of tasks
Previous office experience is important, but the right attitude, confidence and willingness to grow are equally valued.
