Nursery assistantCompany description / Organisation / Department Randstad is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our client’s team. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Position description / Job description *Contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children.
*Maintain accurate records of children’s achievements for parents/carers.
*Collaborate with parents/carers of children with special needs to ensure full integration.
*Support all staff and foster a positive team environment.
*Adhere to all company policies and procedures to uphold standards.
*Safeguard children by adhering to the company’s safeguarding code of conduct.
*Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
*Participate in out-of-hours activities, such as training and staff meetings.
Requirements We’re looking for you, if:
*Enthusiasm for working with young children.
*Interest in the care, learning, and development of young children.
*Commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
*Positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training.
*Previous experience of caring for or working with children (voluntary or paid).
*Understanding of Early Learning Goals.
*Knowledge of National Standards for the regulation of Childcare provision.
*Good organisational, record-keeping, and planning skills.
*Excellent communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
*Patience, reliability, and trustworthiness.
*Positive approach to inclusive practice with children and colleagues.
*Flexibility to adapt to changing working hours occasionally.
*Completion of a recognised Level 2 Childcare qualification (or working towards completion).
*Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene in the workplace.
