We have an exciting new role full of opportunity with a leading international manufacturing company. We are looking for the right person seeking a career in a busy and dynamic environment. This role will involve you in most aspects of the business, offering an excellent opportunity to build a career in logistics and operational support.
Working in a small team supporting the logistics manager, you will add value by liaising with a range of different stakeholders to ensure products reach their destinations safely and cost-effectively. You will be involved in the full process from manufacturing, packaging and shipping, helping to book in goods, manage stock inventory and liaise with stakeholders until the products are safely shipped. You will also communicate with various departments regarding pricing and the most efficient methods of transporting different products. This may include liaising with UK ports and learning about the import and export of goods. Communication with other departments, including finance and sales, when coordinating product distribution is essential, so we need someone who can communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
You will also need to understand the operational side of the business, including tasks such as checking invoices and liaising with the health and safety team to ensure all machinery and equipment are properly serviced.
