Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with experience supporting with Management Accounts from the Manufacturing industry.
We are exclusively recruiting for a really exciting Assistant Management Accountant position for a valued Reed client, based in Wolverhampton. This is a brand new role to the team and is a vital hire for the positive improvements the management team are keen to make. This role requires a candidate with previous experience within Management Accounts, as although the company has some capacity to train, they do need a candidate that can hit the ground running with supporting the Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate, already with some experience in Management Accounts that is looking to further their career and development.
Responsibilities Will Include:
*Assisting directly with the Management Accountant to complete Month End duties such as journal prep and posting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
*Be responsible for completing variance analysis for review by the Management Accountant.
*Be hands on with transactional duties across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, initially this will make up about 50% of the role.
*Use your Excel skills to identify areas of improvement across Transactional and Management Accounts.
Ideally, You Will:
*Have experience supporting with Management Accounts, this must include journal prep and posting, balance sheet reconciliations and some variance analysis.
*Must be a keen user of Microsoft Excel with ability to manipulate large data sets.
*Be a confident character that is comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
*Have a strong background in Transactional work, across AP and AR, and be happy to take part in this on a weekly basis.
