Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer in looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop their manufacturing operation, based in West Yorkshire.

You will play a key role in shaping production strategy, driving operational improvements, and leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality products safely and efficiently.
As Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
*Leading and managing the production function, including planning, scheduling, and prioritising manufacturing activities.
*Ensuring manufacturing processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while maintaining high quality standards.
*Championing health and safety initiatives and ensuring best practice is embedded across the shop floor.
*Driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
*Supporting the introduction of new products into manufacture, working closely with R&D to ensure smooth and efficient implementation.
*Managing production KPIs, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
*Investigating manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
*Coaching, developing, and supporting team leaders to build a high-performing production team.
*Collaborating with other departments to ensure production output aligns with business demand and customer expectations.
*Supporting capital investment projects and automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and capability.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Manager who can bring strong leadership and operational expertise to the role, along with the following skills & experience:
*Proven experience in a Production Leadership role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
*Experience in assembly processes would be an advantage
*A strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
*Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, including supervisors and team leaders
*IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
*Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
*The ability to drive change, improve processes, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
