Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate TA to join our supportive school community in Cardiff on a part-time basis.
About the RoleYou will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with ASD, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment. This role may involve 1:1 support as well as small group work.
Key Responsibilities*Provide tailored support for pupils with ASD
*Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
*Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
*Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
Essential Requirements*Previous experience supporting children with ASD in a school setting
*Strong understanding of autism and associated learning needs
*Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential with strong experience)
