Planning Solicitor (1-3 years’) – Edinburgh
An excellent opportunity for a Planning Solicitor to join a well-established team in Edinburgh. The role offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious planning work across a broad client base and development portfolio, including matters arising from national, major and local developments.
Role Responsibilities
You will support a varied planning law caseload, including:
*Contentious and non-contentious planning matters
*Environmental law considerations
*Compulsory purchase issues
*Public inquiries and planning appeals
*Judicial review proceedings
*Supporting complex cases alongside senior colleagues
*Independent matter management where appropriate
*Contribution to client relationships and team objectives
About You:
*1-3 years’ PQE (candidates with more experience will also be considered)
*Experience in planning or environmental law (desirable but not essential)
*Strong analytical and client service skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Interest in professional development and business growth
Candidates qualified in Scots law or dual-qualified in Scots and English law are preferred. Applications from English-qualified Solicitors open to dual qualification will also be considered.
