Credit Controller
Location: Peterborough
Contract: Temporary - 8 weeks
Salary: £15 per hour plus holiday
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking to use your skills in a role that truly makes a difference? We’re looking for someone who can combine financial accuracy with empathy, professionalism.
As our Credit Controller, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining healthy cash flow, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring financial stability so the organisation can continue delivering vital services.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Proactively managing debt recovery, including contacting customers by phone, email, and letter to ensure timely payment.
*Working to reduce aged debt and negotiate repayment plans where needed.
*Maintaining accurate and well-organised customer account records, including credit limits and detailed communication notes.
*Processing and allocating daily receipts and ensuring accurate account reconciliation.
*Investigating invoice queries and working with internal teams to resolve issues swiftly.
*Producing regular credit reports and supporting financial planning activities.
*Communicating professionally and sensitively with customers, partners, and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
*Excellent communication skills, confident, and able to resolve disputes professionally.
*Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively.
*Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*A positive, empathetic approach and a commitment to working in a values-driven organisation.
This role is hybrid working, 2 days in the office 3 days at home, the role is full time.
