Inside Sales Support Specialist (Food & Beverage)
Full time - Office Based (Milton Keynes)
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Inside Sales Support Specialist to act as a key operational partner to Account Managers, supporting commercial activities across the entire Lead-to-Cash process within the dynamic food & beverage ingredients industry.
In this role you will provide essential commercial coordination, operational support, data management and process optimisation that allows Account Managers to focus on strategic account growth.
Working across internal teams and systems, you will help ensure accurate information flow, efficient processes and excellent operational execution, all in support of customers who rely on innovative ingredient solutions throughout the global food and beverage supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management Support
*Provide operational and administrative support to Account Managers across the full Lead-to-Cash cycle
*Assist with opportunity management and Requests for Information
*Prepare quotations, contracts and pricing agreements in collaboration with pricing teams
*Maintain and update sales forecasts and pipeline data
Commercial Coordination
*Process and coordinate product samples, ensuring optimal throughput and cost efficiency
*Ensure quotations reflect agreed minimum order quantities, pricing structures, packaging charges, and delivery conditions
*Monitor account activity including order quantities, pricing, contracts and delivery terms
Data & Systems Management
*Maintain and continuously update customer master data
*Document and manage commercial processes within internal IT systems
*Ensure consistent use of digital systems and help drive process digitalisation and system optimisation
Operational Oversight
*Track account performance including visit reports, opportunities, contracts, deliveries and payment conditions
*Prepare customer-specific commercial reports and evaluations
*Support the management of overdue payments, dispute cases and payment tracking
Cross-Functional Collaboration
*Coordinate information exchange between internal teams including Sales, Pricing, Quality and Notification Management
*Support the organisation of internal and external customer visits
*Ensure effective communication across departments involved in account activities
Process Improvement
*Identify opportunities to standardise and improve operational processes
*Contribute to the optimisation of workflows and internal structures
*Support initiatives that enhance digitalisation and efficiency within commercial processes.
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in commercial operations, sales support, account coordination or business administration
*Strong organisational and coordination skills
*Ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines simultaneously
*Proficient with internal CRM systems, commercial data and IT systems
*Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting abilities
*Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
