Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer FMCG Packaging & Distribution Site
We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a growing engineering team within a busy FMCG packaging and distribution environment.
The business is expanding and investing in its engineering function, offering excellent long-term progression opportunities within a well-structured maintenance team.
Role Overview As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of automated production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum plant availability and performance.
While an electrical bias is preferred, candidates with a strong mechanical background will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery
* Respond to reactive breakdowns to minimise production downtime
* Maintain and repair automated bagging, conveying, and packaging equipment
* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain operational efficiency
Experience & Qualifications * Relevant engineering qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)
* Previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
* Experience working with automated production machinery
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Team Structure * Work alongside a team of 5 engineers
* Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
Training & Development * Structured onboarding with opportunities to develop skills and progress internally
* Strong progression opportunities due to continued site growth
Salary & Benefits * Salary: £46,350
* Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation
* Hours: 41.5 per week
* Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
* Pension: 9% employer contribution / 5% employee contribution
* Life Assurance included
