A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on more responsibility within a supportive and technically strong environment.
The role will involve working across a range of infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments throughout the UK, supporting projects from initial site investigation through to detailed design and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing and delivering geotechnical and ground investigation projects

*Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports

*Geotechnical design including foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks

*Supervising site investigations including logging soil and rock in accordance with BS 5930

*Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their technical development

*Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams

*Contributing to proposals, tenders, and project planning

Requirements:
*Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline

*Around 5-8 years’ experience within geotechnical or ground engineering consultancy

*Strong report writing and interpretation skills

*Experience with foundation design and geotechnical assessments

*Working knowledge of UK standards including Eurocode 7

*Ideally working towards ICE or Geological Society of London chartership
