Job Description:
Location: London (hybrid working circa 1 day/week in the office minimum)
Salary: Circa £37,500 per annum (working 2.5 days a week - equates to £75,000 if you were a full time employee)
+ bonus + pension up to 20%! + exceptional holiday allowance and benefits package
Our client, a financial services membership body, is hiring a Strategic Project Manager to make sure its corporate strategy is planned, executed and reported on effectively to senior leadership and the Board.
The opportunity
*Report progress against strategy milestones, key deliverables and organisational KPIs to the executive leadership and Board.
*Work with owners of strategic workstreams to drive delivery, agree deadlines, and shape mitigation and action plans where needed.
*Develop and manage strategy delivery project plans – scope, timelines, critical path, resources and budgets – keeping them current and accurate.
*Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure prioritisation, alignment and effective communication during strategy delivery.
*Make recommendations on prioritisation when there are competing resource requirements.
*Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact.
*Facilitate meetings, workshops and presentations to support collaboration and decision making.
What you’ll bring
*Proven project management experience and strong knowledge of project management methodologies, working in small to medium sized firms is critical.
*Experience of strategy implementation management and delivery.
*Strong planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work autonomously.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
*Proficiency with project management tools and software.
Nice to have
*Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).
*Experience developing and delivering training and communication plans to support change initiatives.
*Background doing this role in membership or a pensions organisation
*Ability to work 2.5 part-time days per week, preferably spread over 3–4 shorter working days
This is a high-impact, senior-facing role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity and momentum to an organisation’s most important strategic objectives, while working in a genuinely part-time, hybrid arrangement.
