SEN Teaching Assistants - Speech and Language
Are you a graduate with a passion for supporting children with speech and language difficulties?
An excellent mainstream primary school in Haringey are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. The school are looking for an SEN Teaching assistant to support children with speech and language difficulties in the lower end of the school.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role would fit perfectly for a Graduate who is looking for firsthand experience working with Special Educational Needs as well as the opportunity to work within education. Whether you’re an aspiring speech and language therapist, music therapist, psychologist or just have a keen interest in child development this role could be perfect for you.
You will gain exposure to working alongside external professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapist and Assistant Psychologists as well as working with the schools SENCO.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children with SEN/ Additional Needs on a 1:1 basis, specifically supporting children who require support with speech and Language. Day to day, you will mostly be in supporting students in mainstream classrooms but there will be a requirement to provide pastoral mentoring to students outside of lessons to ensuring their wellbeing.
