Bookkeeper | Stockport | Up to 38,000 | Temp to perm

A well established private company in the energy sector is looking for a reliable and detail focused Bookkeeper to join its finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is confident managing day to day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities *Monitor and manage the finance email inbox, ensuring timely responses and actions.
*Process purchase invoices and regularly check supplier statements, chasing missing documents when required.
*Handle sales invoice queries and send monthly customer statements (with potential for automation).
*Prepare month end files and reconciliations.
*Complete CIS verification and produce CIS statements.
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
About You *Experience in a finance or bookkeeping role.
*Confident using Xero (or similar accounting software).
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
*Comfortable communicating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
*Able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
