This excellent secondary school in Hackney are in the top 1% for their Physics results and are seeking a Physics Teaching Assistant to join their team. This particular role comes with the opportunity to train throughout the year as a Physics Teacher.
You will be supporting classes across KS3, KS4 and KS5 as well as running small intervention groups similar to tutoring and offering some 1:1 support with students.
This is a full time position, term time only, contracted until the end of this academic year. Candidates who are interested in becoming fully qualified teachers, there is the opportunity to return in September 2026 as a Trainee Physics Teacher receiving higher salary or a tax free bursary of £29,000 whilst you gain Qualified Teacher Status!

JOB DESCRIPTION
*Physics Teaching Assistant + Salaried Teacher Training
*Teaching small groups Physics interventions
*Receiving support and training throughout
*Working across Year 7 to Year 10 to begin with.
*Opportunity to complete salaried Teacher Training through the school.
*Immediate Start– Full Time & Contracted until the end of the academic year.
*Daily Rate of £105-£120 per day.
*Located in the Borough of Hackney
PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Must have a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
*Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
*Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of the KS3 & KS4 curriculum content
*You must be able to engage and motivate the students
*Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout!
