Job Description:
English Teacher - Maternity Cover
Start: ASAP
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (3 days p/week)
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a high-performing secondary school in the Stockton-on-Tees area. This is a part-time, long-term temporary role covering a maternity leave, starting as soon as possible.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
*Teach KS3 and KS4 English across Monday to Wednesday
*Plan, deliver and assess high-quality English lessons
*Contribute to a supportive and collaborative English department
*Deliver curriculum content aligned with the AQA exam board (experience with AQA is beneficial)
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
*Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
*Strong planning and assessment skills
*Effective classroom and behaviour management
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
