Job Description:
Regional Sales Manager - Capital Equipment We’re partnering with a global innovator in capital equipment to appoint two Regional Sales Managers. You’ll own the full commercial cycle for high-value, engineered-to-order metalizing equipment - leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales from initial enquiry through to shipment.
The OpportunitiesRole A: UK, India & wider Asia (majority India)
Role B: China & Southeast Asia
Territories may be aligned to language capability where advantageous.
What You’ll Do*Own the end-to-end sales cycle for capital equipment - from lead qualification, solution scoping and proposals through to negotiation, order intake and shipment.
*Develop and grow strategic accounts across your territory; build long-term, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders.
*Prepare quotations and technical specifications to agreed margin targets; ensure proposals are commercially robust and technically accurate.
*Drive new business through targeted prospecting, channel partnerships and market development activities.
*Represent the brand at customer sites, seminars, presentations and industry events to build profile and pipeline.
*Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, commercial, operations) to configure tailored solutions and ensure a smooth order-to-shipment process.
*Manage complex, long sales cycles (often up to 24 months) with disciplined forecasting, stakeholder mapping and deal review cadence.
*Travel internationally circa one week per month (generally in one block); all travel is arranged internally.
What We’re Looking For*Proven international sales experience in capital equipment or engineered-to-order solutions.
*Background selling bespoke/ETO machinery or technical systems is highly advantageous.
*Consultative, solution-led selling style with the ability to navigate complex, multi-level buying groups.
*Commercial acumen: comfortable with pricing, margin management, and value-based negotiation.
*Technically credible with the ability to interpret specifications and collaborate with engineering teams.
*Resilient and organised - adept at managing long sales cycles and maintaining momentum over 12-24 months.
*Cross-cultural communication skills; confident presenting and negotiating internationally.
*Languages: Additional languages beyond English are advantageous (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese). Territory alignment to language capability may be considered.

*Engineering or technical education.
*Experience in flexible packaging or related process equipment.
Where This Role Sits*You’ll join a Manchester-based commercial team that is merging with a complementary product line headquartered in Italy - creating smaller, better-defined territories with broader product coverage.
Package & Incentives*Base salary: up to £60,000 + Bonus 15% of base*Bonus measures (weightings toward the 15% target):*Group results - 10%
*Sales objectives (value, machines, gross margin) - 5%
*Discretionary objectives (set by Product Line Director) - 40%
*Bookings (sales) - 20%
*Gross margin per deal - 25%


*Benefits: Company car (grade aligned to options such as Tesla Model Y / BMW), laptop, mobile, enhanced pension, private medical (including dental & optical), life assurance (2.5x salary).
*Probation: 6 months.
*Hybrid working: Post-probation, 1-2 days/week in the office (Manchester).
*Search area:North West England (candidates comfortable with hybrid travel to HQ).
Interview Process*Stage 1 (F2F): Sales leadership panel (including Product Line Director).
*Stage 2 (F2F): Meeting with the Managing Director.
