The role
This role is varied and challenging, no two days will be the same. It is a mix of hands on, transactional work with a finance emphasis, through to managing a small team, and leading various projects to help the school thrive. Some specific tasks will include:
*Leading long term financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
*Being hands on in ensuring every £ is maximised for impact in a resource-constrained environment
*Identify opportunities for sustainable growth, increased efficiency and innovation
*Provide high level insight to senior managers and governors
*Overseeing a small team who manage Administration and Estates functions
The ideal candidate
This is an amazing job for someone who has worked hard to build a rounded skill set in a commercial environment and would like to use those skills in a fulfilling, worthwhile environment. You will have the charisma to deal effectively with people at all levels, combined with effective analytical and process oriented skills. You will be a good person who cares deeply about ’doing the right thing’ – the team are brilliant, proud and have a deep sense of belonging so you need these same good ethics.
