Payroll & People Engagement Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Payroll & People Engagement Assistant to join a busy Reward & Recognition team within a well-established professional services environment.
This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in supporting payroll, benefits and wider people engagement initiatives, ensuring colleagues receive a seamless and high-quality experience.
What you’ll be doing:
*Supporting the delivery of monthly payroll including calculations, reconciliations and responding to queries
*Maintaining payroll and benefits systems, including adding new joiners and processing changes
*Assisting with key annual processes such as salary reviews, benefits administration and reporting
*Producing management information and headcount reports for internal stakeholders
*Supporting the wider People Engagement team with documentation, correspondence and policy queries
*Processing invoices and helping monitor spend across reward and recognition initiatives
What we’re looking for:
*Previous administrative experience within payroll or HR, ideally in a professional services environment
*Understanding of UK payroll legislation
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*Excellent attention to detail and confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels
*A proactive team player who enjoys improving processes and supporting others
