A leading global engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Finance Specialist - Accounting Operations to join their finance team in Leicester. This role will support core accounting activities and play a key part in month-end close processes while helping maintain efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities * Provide general accounting support during month-end close activities
* Prepare and post journal entries
* Perform account reconciliations and support financial reporting processes
* Assist with payments processing across multiple bank accounts and legal entities
* Support the resolution of misdirected payments and other banking queries
* Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, SOPs and financial process requirements
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation
Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline or equivalent experience
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting operations using SAP
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
