A nurturing SEN school in Woodley is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to work with students face challenges related to social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), anxiety, ADHD, and Autism.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils both individually and in small groups, helping them manage emotions, improve behaviour, and develop confidence within the classroom environment. You will assist teachers in creating a calm and structured learning atmosphere that encourages positive engagement and progress.
You will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including SEN staff, behaviour specialists, and therapists, gaining valuable insight into therapeutic and behavioural support strategies.
