Business Development Manager – Umbrella Payroll & CIS
Accomplish Today are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a growing provider of Umbrella Payroll and CIS contractor payroll solutions. This Business Development Manager role focuses on building partnerships with recruitment agencies requiring umbrella payroll, CIS payments and contractor payroll services.
This role combines new business development and account management, giving you the opportunity to win new recruitment agency clients while building long-term partnerships with existing accounts.
You will work closely with recruitment businesses to deliver compliant PAYE Umbrella and CIS payroll solutions, advising clients on contractor payroll and legislation including IR35 and Joint and Several Liability (JSL). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in umbrella payroll, contractor services or recruitment agency sales who enjoys building relationships and growing accounts.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities while managing and developing existing client relationships.
You will engage with recruitment consultants, agency owners and directors, helping them manage contractor payroll through compliant umbrella payroll and CIS payment solutions.
This is a relationship-led sales role where success comes from building trust and becoming a long-term partner to recruitment agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
*Identify and win new recruitment agency clients requiring umbrella payroll or CIS solutions
*Build a pipeline through outbound sales activity, referrals and networking
*Present PAYE umbrella payroll and contractor payment solutions to decision makers
Account Management
*Manage and grow relationships with existing recruitment agency clients
*Identify opportunities to increase contractor payroll volume across accounts
*Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure excellent service and retention
Contractor Payroll & Compliance
*Advise clients on PAYE Umbrella, CIS payroll and contractor payment models
*Maintain knowledge of contractor legislation including IR35, AWR and Joint and Several Liability (JSL)
*Support agencies in navigating contractor payroll compliance and best practice
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an outgoing and relationship-focused Business Development professional who is confident communicating with people at all levels.
You will ideally have:
*Experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management
*Background within Umbrella Payroll, CIS, Contractor Payroll or Recruitment Agency Sales
*Knowledge of IR35, contractor payroll compliance or Joint and Several Liability
*Strong relationship-building and communication skills
*A proactive and target-driven approach
