Job Description:
Primary Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting for a temporary Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This rewarding role is focused on supporting the class teacher and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for KS1 and KS2 pupils. You will be instrumental in providing targeted, one-to-one and small group support in core subjects, particularly literacy and numeracy.
The job involves a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
* Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote good conduct.
* Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access learning activities.
* Listening to children read and helping them develop their reading skills.
* Providing pastoral care and emotional support to pupils.
* Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the overall aims of the school.
* Supervising children during break times, lunchtime, and on school trips.
