Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham that is seeking a committed ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive both academically and socially. Role Details: *Location: Newham
*Role: ASD Teaching Assistant
*Start Date: April 2026
*Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
*Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assist pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies Use structured learning approaches and sensory support techniques to help pupils access the curriculum Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in learning If you are patient, proactive, and passionate ASD Teaching Assistant about supporting children with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
