A private equity backed healthcare provider based in the Slough area are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join the team in a newly created role. They are offering a salary of £35,000 - £40,000
The Financial Accountant Role
The Financial Accountant will support the Finance Manager in managing the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.
You will also work closely with internal departments, suppliers and clients while helping to strengthen financial processes as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide direct support to the Finance Manager in all aspects of financial control
*Develop strong business partnerships with operational team members
*Manage control accounts within Xero to ensure accurate monthly reporting
*Oversee private sales invoicing and debt collection
*Process journals and support daily finance tasks and month-end processes
*Manage cash flow and banking, including payment runs, bank reconciliations, daily postings and takings reconciliations
*Maintain the fixed asset register and related journals
*Support preparation of monthly statistics and KPIs
*Participate in month-end accounts review, identifying issues and opportunities
*Liaise with external auditors when required
Skills & Experience
*Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with ongoing studies preferred
*Experience using Xero or Sage accounting systems preferred
*Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*High level of attention to detail and accuracy
*Confidence to challenge processes and raise control issues
*Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments, suppliers and clients
