Business Development Executive
Reading (Office-based Tues–Thurs)
Competitive Salary + Bonus + Monthly Product Allowance + Pension

Are you a driven B2B sales professional with experience selling into hospitality or foodservice? Do you have a background in fresh meat, poultry, or deli supply and thrive in a target-driven environment?
We are partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing halal food supplier in Reading that is transforming the quality and reliability of Muslim-oriented and halal food supply chains.
They are now seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new customer acquisition across independent and mid-sized hospitality and foodservice accounts.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine growth role — not account management disguised as sales.
You will:
*Convert a strong pipeline of warm inbound leads
*Identify and win new B2B customers across hospitality & foodservice
*Promote premium halal meat & poultry products
*Drive product sampling, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
*Build long-term commercial partnerships
*Provide market and competitor intelligence to leadership
You will work closely with operations and customer service to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term retention.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for:
*Proven experience in B2B business development
*Experience selling meat, poultry, fresh produce or similar FMCG into hospitality/foodservice
*Demonstrable track record of winning new business and hitting targets
*Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
*Confident communicator and persuasive presenter
*Highly organised with strong follow-up discipline
*Comfortable with some travel to meet customers
