We’re looking for a General Manager for a Community pub in Cardiff. Salary up to £40,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Coopers Carvery is a warm and welcoming community favourite in Cardiff, known for classic British comfort food and its much-loved daily carvery. With freshly roasted meats, homemade Yorkshire puddings, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, it attracts everyone from locals popping in for a pint to families gathering for Sunday lunch. Consistently rated around 4.1-4.2 for value, hearty portions, and friendly service, Coopers benefits from high visibility, easy access, and strong weekend trade.
With £17.5k weekly sales (40% Wet / 60% Dry) and plenty of potential still untapped, the biggest opportunities lie in driving midweek volume, enhancing upsell across the food mix, growing event-led occasions, and boosting digital engagement to increase visit frequency. It’s a site with real scope for a motivated General Manager to make a big impact.
Management accommodation is available in the form of a spacious four-bedroom flat offering two generously sized living rooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and a modern bathroom.
