Assistant Quantity Surveyor - The Role
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support senior team members in delivering full pre- and post-contract services, with exposure to all project stages. The role provides the opportunity to develop key technical skills, take early responsibility, and work directly with clients and contractors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to grow their career in a supportive, fast-paced consultancy environment.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
*Assist in the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documents
*Support cost reporting, valuations, and contract administration
*Contribute to procurement and tender analysis
*Help administer JCT contracts across multiple live projects
*Attend client meetings and support risk/change management processes
*Work closely with senior surveyors and project managers across key schemes
Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements
*1-3 years’ experience in a consultancy or client-side QS role
*Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS-accredited)
*Exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties
*Keen to pursue MRICS chartership
*Confident communicator with a proactive and detail-driven approach
*Interest in residential and commercial developments in London
