Job Description:
Lead Finance OfficerEdinburgh | Hybrid Working
We are currently supporting a growing private sector organisation in their search for a Lead Finance Officer to join their team in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance or accounts administration experience who is looking to step into a broad and varied role within a supportive and collaborative environment. The organisation is continuing to grow, offering strong potential for professional development and career progression, alongside a flexible hybrid working model.
The RoleWorking closely with senior finance colleagues, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring financial processes are managed efficiently and accurately.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Processing weekly payroll for employees and subcontractors
*Completing bank reconciliations
*Maintaining financial records within the company’s accounting system
*Supporting debtor management and work-in-progress monitoring
*Assisting with month-end processes and VAT preparation
*Providing general finance and administrative support where required
This is a hands-on role within a small team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core finance processes and gain exposure across multiple areas of the finance function.
About YouWe are keen to hear from candidates who:
*Have experience in a finance, accounts, or finance administration role
*Have some exposure to payroll processes
*Are highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Are comfortable working independently and managing their own workload
*Have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively
*Are studying towards an accountancy qualification, or keen to progress within finance
Experience with ERP or accounting systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
