Join our family-run business, established in 1954, where the focus is on locally sourced and quality ingredients and fostering lasting relationships with our community.

What you’ll do as the Food and Beverage Manager
As our Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer engagement and driving sales through unique food and beverage experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Daily Operations Management: Oversee all daily operations, which includes managing opening and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining operational standards to foster a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Stock and Inventory Management: Ensure optimal stock levels by implementing efficient inventory tracking techniques, maintaining quality control over ingredients, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations to minimise waste and maximise quality.
• Customer Relations and Service Excellence: Foster a welcoming ambiance by engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, managing any complaints professionally, and delivering a memorable dining experience that exceeds expectations.
• Sales Performance Tracking: Accurately process customer transactions, manage cash handling, and analyse sales data to assess performance against targets while identifying opportunities for increased revenue through promotions and upselling initiatives.
• Crafting and Innovating Menus: Developing a diverse and enticing menu that showcases high-quality beverages, cakes, and sandwiches, keeping in line with seasonal trends and customer preferences to ensure guests return for more.

Your impact in this role will be significant as you drive team performance and customer satisfaction, establishing Etherington’s as the go-to destination for high-quality food and drink in the Scorrier area.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Proven experience in food and beverage management, with a strong portfolio showcasing menu design and customer service excellence.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders, able to convey ideas effectively and negotiate vendor contracts to secure the best resources.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, including allergen awareness, to ensure compliance and customer safety at all times.
• Experience in effective stock control and waste management principles to enhance profitability and reduce operational costs.
• Proficiency in cash handling and operating a POS system effectively, ensuring quick and accurate customer transactions as well as maintaining integrity in financial reporting.

Desirable (but not essential):
• Barista skills, particularly in espresso extraction and milk steaming, to elevate our beverage offerings.
• Previous experience in a pop-up or mobile food service environment to adapt quickly to dynamic operational settings.
