SEN Teaching Assistant – Tonbridge area
Full Time | Monday–Friday | £13.68 per hour
Immediate Start | Long-Term Role (Potential to Go Permanent)
A warm, welcoming, and truly lovely SEN school in Tonbridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism and behavioural difficulties.
The Role
*Full-time, Monday to Friday
*Working hours: 8:15am – 4:30pm
*Supporting secondary-aged students with autism, behavioural needs, and other learning difficulties
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support
*Assisting class teachers with daily tasks, classroom routines, and lesson delivery
*Helping to create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
*Must have the Right to Work (ETW) in the UK
*Clear Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – essential
*Previous SEN experience is required, ideally with autism and behaviour support
*Calm, patient and resilient approach
*Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with young people
*Passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve their potential
