Qualified Nursey Practitioner – West Hendon
Job Title: Nursery Practitioner
Department: Early Years
Pay: £23’830 - £25’000
Area: West Hendon
Hours: Working on a shift basis 8.00-4.00pm or pm on alternate weeks (37.5 hr week) 40 minute lunch break, of which 30 mins is unpaid.
Summary:
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a team committed to delivering the highest standards of quality care for children. This is an excellent opportunity for Nursery Nurses, NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualified, who are friendly, hardworking and have positive, flexible attitudes. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be working on a Rota basis between the hours of 8am to 6pm. You should have a passion for supporting children’s learning.
A nurturing, passionate and compassionate nature is required to support all children and in particular younger children and children with additional needs.
Being passionate about Nursery and preschool education and empowering our children to reach their maximum potential is an absolute necessity.
Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role. Experience of keeping records of children’s development would be desirable. You should be physically fit and motivated to help children learn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
Promote children’s learning and development through play-based experiences
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
Ensure safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare requirements are always met
Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and outdoor play
Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment
Qualifications:
*Level 2 CACHE or NVQ in Childcare or equivalent
*Experience of working with children in an early year setting
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
