A high-growth medical device company at the forefront of developing innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide. The organisation combines cutting-edge research with strong commercial execution and is investing heavily in its finance function to support continued expansion.
As part of this growth, they are creating a new Commercial Finance Manager position to strengthen business partnering and provide strategic financial insight across the organisation.

The Role

The Commercial Finance Manager will report to the Financial Controller and act as a key partner to commercial and operational teams. The role will focus on driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and improving commercial reporting and analysis.

Key points:
• Provide commercial finance support to senior leadership and operational teams
• Deliver financial analysis to support pricing, product strategy, and investment decisions
• Develop and enhance commercial reporting and performance insights
• Partner with sales, marketing, and operational teams to improve profitability
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

Main Duties

The postholder will play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s commercial finance capability and supporting informed business decision-making.

Key duties include:
• Partner with commercial teams to analyse performance, margins, and revenue drivers
• Deliver detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives
• Lead commercial input into budgeting and forecasting processes
• Develop insightful dashboards and reporting to support business performance tracking
• Support pricing strategies, product launches, and investment appraisals
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting

The Successful Candidate

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
• Experience in commercial finance, business partnering, or FP&A roles
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial information clearly
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, or medical devices is advantageous but not essential
• Proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
