Geoenvironmental Consultant
Sheffield
£32,000 - £35,000
We are looking for a Geoenvironmental Consultant to join an established environmental and geotechnical consultancy and their growing team in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a Geoenvironmental Consultant with a few years of experience to work on a wide variety of land development and infrastructure projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of contaminated land and ground investigation projects from initial site assessment through to reporting and remediation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
*Conducting and supervising Phase I and Phase II site investigations
*Logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930
*Groundwater and soil sampling, monitoring and gas monitoring
*Preparing factual and interpretative reports
*Undertaking contaminated land risk assessments
*Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
*Assisting in the development of remediation strategies
Requirements
*Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
*Approximately 2-4 years’ experience in a geoenvironmental or contaminated land consultancy role
*Experience with site investigations, soil logging and report writing
*Knowledge of contaminated land risk assessment
*Full UK driving licence
