Our Client, Wigan Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children’s Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Manage the day-to-day work of the duty team, prioritizing incoming referrals, and managing capacity to ensure safety is paramount.
*Endorse risk assessments, safety plans, and child protection plans, often dealing with complex, high-stakes situations.
*Provide regular, reflective supervision to staff, including performance management, professional development, and wellbeing support.
*Ensure all statutory duties are met, policies are followed, and records are accurate.
*Liaise with police, health services, and education partners, often chairing high-level meetings.
*Conduct audits, manage performance data, and implement improvements in practice.
*Manage team resources, including budgets and staffing, ensuring effective service delivery.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
*Must have minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying Experience
