Vehicle Technician (Entry Level)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry Level Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance. Experience in a dealership or an independent family business is advantageous but not essential. This position offers the opportunity to work with both traditional and electric vehicles, providing a broad scope of technical challenges and learning opportunities.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general repairs.
*Conduct detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify any issues, with a focus on electric vehicles (EVs) as well as traditional models.
*Strip down vehicles as needed and perform thorough evaluations.
*Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to ensure accurate diagnostics and timely repair work.
*Directly interact with customers when required, explaining technical details and the value of the service provided.
*Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
*Identify and report any additional repair or maintenance work that may be necessary.
*Handle warranty parts with care, ensuring they are returned clean, correctly packaged, and labelled.
*Continuously update and enhance technical skills and certifications, staying informed about industry advancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
*Experience working in a vehicle dealership or independent automotive business is preferred.
*Strong understanding of both traditional and electric vehicle systems.
*Ability to work efficiently within given time frames.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex information in an understandable manner.
*Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
